Cleaning Instructions

To clean vinyl-coated, polyester fabric, apply with a sponge or soft bristle brush a solution of one cup of mild dishwash soap and one cup bleach and three (3) gallons of water.

Allow to sit for ten (10) minutes after scrubbing with a sponge or soft bristle brush and rinse thoroughly. Cleaning should be done on a 3-4 week schedule.

Like any household project, take precautions and wear proper eye protection and rubber gloves.

It is recommended that towels be used on vinyl coated fabric to protect the vinyl from body oils, sunscreens, suntan lotions and chlorine. It's more hygienic to use a towel when sitting on a chair.

Do not clean with solvents or harsh chemicals, disinfectant cleaners or sanitizers. Vinyl coated fabric is a porous material. Many cleaners, disinfectants and and chemicals are meant for hard non porous surfaces only and will degrade vinyl coated fabric. Soap and water are more effective than hand sanitizers at removing germs according to the CDC*. Follow directions on labels of cleaners carefully and make sure to rinse furniture and vinyl coated fabric thoroughly.
